Job Description

Version 1 is looking for an experienced consultant to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of solutions for mid to enterprise level organisations. We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast pace, can prioritise workload, and is eager to gain industry experience. You will have solid background in Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies with a Continuous Service Improvement mindset. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their existing skills with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and Oracle Platinum Partner working with cutting edge technologies.

This exciting opportunity will see the candidate working within a team of experienced technical consultants, exercising, and developing the wide range of necessary skills that distinguishes a well-rounded consultant:

  • The technical ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • The flexibility to move between clients, projects, technologies.
  • A collaborative team member and worked effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Develops understanding of client’s business, applications, and users.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues to business users.
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement continuous service improvements.
  • Client facing skills.

Qualifications

  • A Third Level qualification in a Computing discipline or equivalent working experience required. 
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an applications management, support or development role 
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux a must
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows/Windows Server a plus
  • Applications administration and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting proprietary, legacy and 3rd party applications or services
  • Understanding of Communication infrastructure, Head End Systems (HES), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), SAP, Deployment, Scheduling Systems and Smart Meters a plus
  • Scripting and automation experience (e.g. SQL, PowerShell, .NET) a plus
  • ITIL Foundation qualification preferred
