Working within the Global Controllership function, this position will be responsible for the preparation, review and presentation of the Company’s external filings with the Securities & Exchange Commission, primarily our quarterly and annual filings on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, respectively. This includes the preparation and review of the financial statements, the related footnotes and MD&A, in addition to certain aspects of our proxy statement.
The Analyst Reporting will also have certain monthly and quarterly general ledger close responsibilities, including but not limited to, calculating and recording the Company’s monthly equity accounting entries to our general ledger. This role will work closely with our third party equity administrator to determine the correct equity details each month. In addition, this role will prepare the equity roll forward each quarter.
What you'll do...
- This role will require frequent interaction with management personnel at all levels of our organization, including Investor Relations, Enterprise FP&A, Tax, Treasury and each of our domestic and international business units in order to ensure the accuracy of information included in each of our public filings.
- Requires significant interaction and coordination with our external auditors to address questions arising from their quarterly review and annual audit processes, in order to ensure that all SEC filing deadlines are met.
- This role will be expected to have a solid technical accounting research background in order to address specific accounting issues that may arise, which includes consideration of the implication to Iron Mountain and coordination with individuals from several departments and business lines to implement changes needed to apply the guidance and to report accordingly.
- Play a primary role in supporting the Company’s capital markets activities, including direct involvement in the preparation of registration statements and/or prospectus supplements to support the Company in raising debt or equity. The role will also work extensively with both our auditors and underwriters’ counsel in support of such offerings as part of standard audit comfort processes.
What you'll need...
- 1-2-years of SEC reporting experience preferred
- Strong fundamental knowledge of US GAAP is required
- The ideal candidate must possess solid organizational and documentation skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team and manage and adhere to multiple deadlines
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion financial systems is preferred
- Experience with Workiva is preferred
- The candidate should be comfortable with basic computer programs (MS Excel, Word)
- The candidate is expected to work on the EST time zone
