Job Description:
FP&A Manager
Shift timings: 4.00 pm IST onwards
What you will do:
- Key team member in the preparation of strategic and financial insights including, but not limited to, annual budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and other ad hoc financial analysis
- Trusted to produce meaningful analysis and practical recommendations that are actionable
- Maintain complex financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Updating various inputs
- Making revisions such as formula changes
- Rolling forward quarterly financial models
- Drafting initial requests for information
- Maintaining data tables for reporting
- Preparing summaries for management reporting and Sun Life reporting
- Manage and analyze large data sets from various internal sources
- Update and prepare presentations and reporting for senior leadership
- Assist with preparation of management and board reporting
- Modify system reports for ad hoc analysis
- Maintain and prepare Assets Under Management reporting and other periodic reporting as required
- Prepare monthly AUM reporting to Sun Life
- Prepare quarterly AUM and FEAUM reporting deliverables
- Assist with ad hoc due diligence questionnaires and industry surveys
- Maintain Canadian Property Database
Who you are:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or equivalent plus a professional designation strongly preferred (CPA, CFA and/or MBA)
- Experience: A strong track record of success over six to eight years of relevant experience in a top tier management consulting firm, investment bank, accounting firm or similar environment. Previous experience in financial planning and analysis or exposure to the financial services sector preferred
- Excel and Financial Modeling Skills – Advanced expertise in Excel required and the ability to build dynamic financial models preferred
- PowerPoint Skills – Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations for senior management and investors
- Analytical and Strong Attention to Detail – Quick learner with exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills combined with a strong attention to detail; filtering information based on priority, relevance & other critical factors
- Organizational/Multi-Tasking Skills - Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy of work; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities; ability to adapt to new ideas and constant changes
- Relationship Skills – Well developed written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with senior business leaders; ability to exercise strict confidentiality
- Flexibility is required to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders primarily supporting Vancouver
