The PowerBI Analyst will be responsible for the development of reports for internal Nordic business operations. This role will be responsible for design, build, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of reporting needs. They have the technical skills and soft skills to navigate customer communications. As a report writer, they will guide discussions on how the team can meet their reporting and analytics goals and provide proactive recommendations on ways the organizations can best use data to improve their business.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and job activities include but are not limited to:
· Develop reports and dashboards start-to-finish for Nordic
· Lead discussions on Nordic reporting and analytics needs; and propose and design solutions that meet those needs
· Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure the integrity, integration, and stability of Nordic’s PowerBI reporting
· Fulfill requests from Nordic to meet PowerBI reporting and analytics needs
· Guide and perform proactive in-depth analysis of workflows and system setup to identify improvements and efficiencies
· Learn and document unique processes and configurations, establish ongoing support processes, and orient other team members to the configurations and processes
· Follow proper change control policies for completing and migrating build and configurations
· Create documentation that allows others to follow processes consistently
· Anticipate the perspective of proposed changes and suggest solutions to meet their needs
· Contribute to a supportive team culture where everyone is focused on the overall goals of Managed Services
· Participate in internal process improvement and projects to help evolve Managed Services
· Provide guidance to junior team members on reporting and analytics processes and development
· Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time
Education/Experience
· Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required
· 1+ years of experience developing PowerBI reports and dashboards, business intelligence, and analytics required
· 2+ years of experience with business operations reporting and analytics preferred
· Certification in PowerBI reporting tools
· Experience with SQL and SQL server to extract data and understand data structure
· Experience with building data pipelines
· Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps to create automation tasks and processes
· Strong ability to design and create intuitive and information data visualizations
· Proven ability to apply problem solving and technical skills
· Strong customer service skills
· High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
· Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities
· Proficient at time management
