Minitab is seeking to fill a newly created Advisory Accountant position. This role will deliver reliable, timely summarized information to decision-makers while maintaining detailed knowledge of the underlying data. The successful candidate will bring keen insight and analytic ability for both GAAP and non-GAAP accounting standards and seek to understand the intricacies and dependencies of transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Transactional Oversight and Maintenance- Take ownership of assigned areas including reviewing and posting transactions and providing insight into trends, risks and anomalies. Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy. Verify accuracy and completeness of accounting information.
- Accounting standards and application: Maintain understanding of and ensure compliance with corporate, legal and local accounting policies. Assist in compiling monthly and annual information in accordance with multiple accounting standards. Manage and record intercompany transactions, including transfer-pricing assistance. Create and maintain necessary supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Research and analysis: Assist in researching accounting standards and requirements for possible expansion and work with teams from Human Resources and the Legal department to ensure compliance with local legal and employer record-keeping. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of accounting experience with both public and private industry preferred
- International business experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA Required
- Willingness to travel domestically or globally as needed; less than 10%
