The Role:

We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team as Advanced Propulsion Product Manager and contribute to the development of world-class EV propulsion and battery solutions.
The Product Manager role provides the ability for the selected candidate to be the "CEO" of their product line, responsible for supporting the current and future RESS Batteries for all GM and Joint Ventures' launches. This unique job allows the candidate to learn all facets of the aftersales business, including launch and lifecycle of parts, sales, marketing, finance, pricing, supply chain, and engineering. Job requires a high level of initiative to understand customer needs, evaluate competitive actions, build supplier relationships, and optimize product line profitability.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Perform ownership actions to position the product portfolio to be the market leader, generating enhanced revenue and profitability.
- High-level of independent judgment and the ability to make and influence decisions regularly. The selected candidate will become the subject matter expert for their category of parts.
- Maintenance of Product Lines - including pricing, addition, and deletion of products (including new product launches where appropriate)
- Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions for market positioning, pricing, and coverage
- Gather, analyze, and interpret market trends and competitive data to develop a Playbook to act upon in managing product portfolio
- Prepares presentations on area of expertise including product line reviews
- Actively identifies new areas for learning and continues development of skills and competencies
- Assemble and lead cross functional work teams (run Product Management Team Meetings)
- Assist Financial team with pricing recommendations
- Assist with strategic marketing recommendations, Promotional Ideas, Supplier Funding
- Create Statement of Requirements Marketing for Purchasing Request for Quotes
- Supplier Liaison as required to improve and/or maintain optimal performance
- Investigates and provides solutions to unusual and difficult problems utilizing multiple sources (e.g. suppliers, market research, teams, customers, field personnel)
- Keeps management and teams informed of developments as needed
- Occasional visits to suppliers
- Handle special assignments, investigations and confidential reports
- Ability to work well within a complex team environment and desire to share learnings with team
- Must be Creative, Results Oriented, Disciplined and a Self-Starter with a constant desire to learn
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Uses advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve a wide range of non-standard problems
- Identifies and devises solutions based on limited information and precedent

Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- High level of analytical ability, capable of working with multiple sources of data
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrated job related technical and professional skills
- Highly skilled in MS Office tools
- High level of written and oral communication capabilities
- Strong understanding of financial principles
- Experience in leading projects
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) :
- 3 years GM Customer Care and Aftersales experience or equivalent
- Project Management experience or certificate (PMP is a plus)
- Familiarity with battery technologies, propulsion systems, and electric vehicle trends
- Automotive OEM and/or Aftermarket parts and service experience
- Experience with dealer network
