Who we are?
The Finance Team is the main responsible for managing the preparation of balance sheets, financial statements, cash-flow reports, day-to-day record keeping and reporting, including all payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
We are currently looking for a self-motivated, well-organized Accounts Receivable Specialist who can guide Exoticca in its fast-growing project through data, analysis, modeling, forecasting, identifying and proposing optimization and improvement actions to have efficiency growth.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accounting Specialist Senior to join our global finance team at a leading multinational company. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial records in accordance with accounting standards and local regulations.
The Accounting Specialist plays a key role in supporting month-end closings, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and external audits. Additionally, the position acts as a cross-functional collaborator, ensuring financial information consistency in a dynamic, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
✔ General Accounting & Financial Records:
- Record and review daily journal entries, monthly accruals, and adjusting entries in line with GAAP / IFRS principles.
- Ensure accurate classification of revenues, expenses, and provisions across accounts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with corporate deadlines and reporting standards.
- Prepare and analyze local statutory and corporate financial reports, identifying key variances and trends.
✔ Reconciliations & Internal Controls:
- Perform reconciliations of critical accounts (e.g., AR/AP, bank, tax, fixed assets).
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Enforce adherence to internal financial controls and contribute to policy and procedure improvements.
✔ Audit & Compliance:
- Support year-end external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate in the implementation of audit recommendations and internal control enhancements.
- Ensure tax compliance in coordination with the tax team or external advisors.
✔ Process Improvement & Special Projects:
Actively participate in the automation and digitalization of accounting processes (e.g., ERP upgrades, RPA initiatives).
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards or corporate reporting requirements.
Support accounting integration during mergers, acquisitions, or other corporate transitions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Financial Master is a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role. If you have experience in a multinational company is a big plus.
- Proven experience with month-end closings, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Spanish GAAP and local accounting principles.
- Familiarity with consolidated reporting and multi-currency accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
- Intermediate to advanced level of English (spoken and written), required for regular communication with regional/global teams.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Team collaboration and cross-functional communication.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a multicultural environment.
