About The Role
We are seeking a Sales Strategy and Planning Manager to join our Strategy, Planning & Operations team to drive more growth in the ThousandEyes business. The successful candidate will spearhead strategy and planning efforts for the EMEA Region and lead global initiatives in support of our Global Acceleration team. This role is pivotal in driving excellence by identifying, developing, implementing, and enhancing business processes and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including EMEA and Global Acceleration Sales leaders, to shape strategy, build and execute operational plans, drive key initiatives that lead to sales growth, and deliver on strategic and tactical business imperatives. This role involves engagement with sales account teams and various organizations related to sales, such as marketing, finance, engineering, and channel.
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop ThousandEyes’ sales strategy, priorities, and go-to-market plans.
- Establish and clearly articulate sales plans to support business growth.
- Execute growth programs, sales incentives, competitive programs, and business intelligence initiatives to provide strategic insights and inspire new programs.
- Participate in fiscal year planning.
- Drive and manage key GTM initiatives and programs.
- Deliver analytical-driven insights and projects.
- Oversee sales operations by managing forecasting, sales tools, processes, coverage models, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Develop and maintain business metrics and reporting systems, while assisting in the design of compensation plans.
- Sales Acceleration: Build and leverage analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness, enhance sales enablement strategies, and accelerate sales growth initiatives.
- Cross-functional Engagement and Alignment: Drive cross-organizational collaboration, alignment, and execution around key strategic initiatives, ensuring operational rigor to guarantee execution and impact.
- Strong soft skills and influence abilities to foster collaboration and drive consensus in multi-cultural teams.
- Trusted Advisor: Proactively challenge the status quo and execute exceptionally well.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a related role (finance, consulting, business operations, etc.), with strategy and planning experience as a plus.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; you understand numbers and are energized by problem-solving.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, building relationships, and driving success in a matrixed environment.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with SaaS GTM motions and an understanding of key SaaS metrics based on recurring revenue, such as ARR, MRR, NRR, GRR, churn rate, renewal rate, etc.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you are empowered to make decisions and drive the business.
- Excellent project management & organizational skills; proactive and detail oriented. Curious and flexible, you enjoy variety and are willing to take on different roles/responsibilities as business needs evolve.
- A team player who thrives on challenges, supports teammates, and is inspired by collaborating with others to achieve success.
- Tools Proficiency: Strong grasp of Excel (PivotTables, SUMIFs, and other complex functions), PowerPoint (presentation building and storytelling), Tableau (basic view and formula creation). Plus, but not required: SFDC, Clari, FINBI, and Cisco Ready.
