Accounting Analyst

Tecovas is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Accounting Team. This role will be responsible for close and reconciliation duties relating to inventory and operational expenditures. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, you will have the opportunity to ensure that inventory and expenses are appropriately accounted for under US GAAP and company policies. 

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you’ll do:

• Ownership and preparation of multiple inventory and operational balance sheet and income statement ledger account reconciliations, including report preparation for monthly department close meetings.
• Analyze operational expense invoices and input journal entries to ensure accurate expense and balance sheet reporting.
• Review, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies related to inventory shipments, supplier invoices, and purchase orders within NetSuite.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to review inventory and departmental operational expenses.
• Manage the weekly review and updating of specific inventory transactions in the system.
• Support the preparation of audit documentation for the annual external audit process.
• Assist the accounting team with various ad hoc projects as needed.

Experience we’re looking for:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in public or industry accounting; relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
