Senior Sales Representative
Amadeus GTD Southern Africa is seeking a Senior Sales Representative based in Johannesburg.
Summary Of The Role:
The primary focus of this role is on acquisitions and business development opportunities. The role involves understanding customer needs and requirements, translating them into tailored solutions, and proactively promoting these solutions to add value, foster strong customer relationships, and ensure long-term customer engagement.
Common Accountabilities:

Has advanced technical and functional knowledge of Amadeus solutions, along with relevant experience, and understands how their work supports the business.

Takes ownership of their tasks and works independently, following a plan set by the manager, while seeking guidance only in more complex situations.

Contributes to decisions related to their work, anticipates potential impacts, supports team projects, and suggests improvements to processes.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Contribute to the development of long-term plans, including sales forecasts and solutions, by incorporating customer feedback. Assist in defining the sales plan.

Establish and nurture relationships with senior executives to identify and qualify business opportunities.

Understand customers’ specific needs and prepare tailored business proposals.
-
Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs/RFIs and manage follow-up activities.
-
Promote and sell products, services, and solutions through direct interactions, events, and roadshows.
-
Deliver impactful sales presentations to senior management and demonstrate products effectively.
-
Manage negotiations to successfully close deals.
-
Actively engage in marketing initiatives, providing insights and contributing to market intelligence efforts.

Conduct market and competitor analyses to support strategic decision-making.
About The Ideal Candidate:

3-5 years of experience in Sales and Account Management.

Knowledge of the Travel Industry is important.
-
Understanding of Amadeus products, services, and the industry is helpful.

Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Customer-focused, results-driven, and a collaborative team player.

Friendly and proactive, demonstrating a positive "Can Do" attitude.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral. (Proficiency in English.)
