Job Objective:
The Production Control Room Operator is a challenging position within the Production Control Center (PCC) and will be responsible for the coordination and control of oil & gas production at Well Pads in the Western Operating Area (WOA) of Prudhoe Bay. The continuous monitoring, operation, optimization and well management of the WOA Well Pads occurs primarily through an existing SCADA system, with some interaction with a DCS structure (SETCIM/IP.21). These systems place the PCC Control Room Operator in control of the production process from wellhead to the inlet of the associated Gathering Center (GC). There will be four (4) active Wells SCADA consoles (GC1, GC2-E, GC2-W & GC3) in addition to a Lead console. PCC employees are expected to qualify on all 4 SCADA consoles.
The Production Control Room Operator position involves continuous communication and interaction between plant and field operations and with the Eastern Offtake Center (EOG) and Valdez Operations control centers. There is also significant interaction with the North Slope Optimization Engineers and other members of the Resource and Drilling & Completions functions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment and adherence to all company safe practices.
- Identify production process optimization problems and recommend corrective actions in order to meet business targets.
- Maintain all operator certification and compliance training requirements.
- Identify maintenance needs (regarding production optimization) and initiate work orders to restore/enhance production opportunities.
- Write and review work procedures and be an active participant in company safety programs and training sessions.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a production or facility operator in an oil & gas or petrochemical facility.
- Minimum of 3 years of North Slope Operations experience - with a strong preference for WOA experience (GC and/or Well Pads).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience reading P&ID's and process flow diagrams
- Ability to work a fourteen (14) day on and fourteen (14) day off 12hour shift work schedule.
- Requires less supervision in the performance of routine duties.
- Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
- Proficient MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) computer skills
- Ability to drive to deliver results and actively seek out/address production enhancement opportunities
- High level of oral and written communication skills

- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritizing abilities

- Maintain all applicable operator certification and compliance training requirements

Preferred Qualification:
- Currently A-Tech on the North Slope of Alaska
- Previous experience/qualification as a PCC or DCS Board Operator
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with hydrocarbon processing and/or process controls
- Working knowledge of:
- DOT Regulations
- Surface Operations
- Wellhead maintenance
- Automated Control Systems, including SETCIM, IP21, DCS & SCADA
- Rotating equipment
- Emergency Shutdown, Flare Relief, and Shutdown Valves
- Oilfield hydraulics and fluid movement
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Preferred: Associates degree in a technical field
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Preferred: PSM Certification
