We are looking for a Web Designer who will be responsible of supporting our group in the design, development, realization and maintenance of web-based products and applications (including websites).

ROLE
The Web Designer will be responsible of supporting the research group in the design, development, realization and maintenance of web-based products and applications (including websites) and initiatives that are aimed at:

  • disseminating the CMCC’s scientific research and its outcomes;
  • exploring innovative languages to communicate climate science to a vast and diversified audience;
  • design and realize innovative data visualization instruments.


REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in web design and development;
  • a good knowledge of the English language;
  • good communication skills;
  • professional experience in designing WordPress websites and themes with special focus on Elementor PRO and WP Bakery;
  • professional experience with web tools and languages like HTML, CSS3, SASS and good attitude to learn new tools;
  • experience with computer graphics software: raster and vector graphics (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop;
  • competencies in SEO optimization;
  • experience with remote collaboration and office tools like Google Workspaces and good attitude in working with teams;
  • attitude to work remotely and availability to take part in meeting in presence and in videoconference;
  • experience with prototyping tools like Figma (desirable);
  • availability to travel in Italy and abroad.


DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
  • The Web Designer will be based in Venice CMCC office.
  • Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
  • Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
  • Flexible working time as per internal policies.
  • Support during the immigration process, if needed.
