Position Overview:Finning – The CAT Rental Store, is seeking a Yard / Warehouse Person to join our growing team in Edmonton, AB. As the Yard / Warehouse Person, you are responsible for assisting with day-to-day yard and warehouse duties for the Branch.

Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, Inspecting, and coiling of 1C4/0 and multi conductor cables
- Loading & Unloading Equipment, ensuring all shipping / receiving documentation procedures are followed
- Washing and/or performing light maintenance and/or repairs covering all areas of our rental fleet
- Counting and verifying cable orders to ensure accuracy in inventory tracking
- Assists rental counter personnel in selection of “rental ready” equipment upon request
- Receives order request and preps orders for shipment
- Inspects equipment pre and post rental to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition
- Maintains yard organization and cleanliness to align with Finning's housekeeping and safety standards
- Moves rental ready equipment back to proper storage areas following routine maintenance procedures
- Assist customers and delivery drivers in yard, loading and unloading rental equipment; helping direct them to office or unloading areas
- Gives customers start/stop and general operating instructions on rental equipment
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, compact construction equipment, large construction equipment
- Has good working knowledge of all rental equipment.
- Possesses sufficient mechanical skills to perform and/or recommend minor equipment repairs
- Familiarity with heavy equipment or a similar industry would be considered an asset
- Ability to operate variety of forklifts
- Team player with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities

Work Environment:
- Work will be outdoors and indoors with general warehouse conditions. This position requires frequent lifting and significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions. This job requires interaction with co-workers and the public.
