Job Family Definition:
Develop and/or deliver integrated end-customer, go-to-market programs for one or more products, services and/or solutions within the global business unit or region.
Responsible for the development and/or delivery of integrated end-customer and channel go-to-market (GTM) programs to assist in installed base refresh within the Hybrid Cloud WW Business Development organization. Identifies end-to-end sales journey for installed base selling, to identify/augment/create sales programs to assist sellers in end-to-end sales journey with purpose to refresh and expand the storage installed base. Includes creating and operating the SDOE opportunities to help activate customers, and partnering with the OS renewal organization to collaborate to refresh/renew.
Manages a team and defines and/or manages execution of GTM strategies and tactical plans. Aligns organizations/processes to achieve program goals. Develops and/or manages delivery of value propositions/messaging for assigned offerings. Develops and/or executes on SDOE generation campaigns. Develops and/or executes upsell/cross-sell/attach efforts. May manage channel and customer-facing aspects of offering launch, refresh and end-of-life (EOL) programs. May drive customer and partner development/relationships specific to GTM programs. Determines GTM program goals/benchmarks and tracks/analyzes results using closed-loop analysis. Drives continuous improvements to GTM efficiency and effectiveness.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages multi-national exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members.
Additional guidance/criteria: Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region; Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.
Responsibilities:
- Hire/manage/develop ICs.
- Direct/supervise the alignment of multiple marketing strategies and internal/external organizations to drive awareness, consideration, purchase intent and purchase for company offerings.
- Direct/supervise ACP-building, demand generation and/or customer relationship campaigns.
- Direct/supervise the development/deployment of appropriate marketing metrics/ goals/benchmarks.
- Direct/supervise closed-loop analysis to assess program results, determine indicated actions and drive continuous improvements to marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and Experience Required:
- BA or BS in Engineering, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years sales, sales support or Category Management.
- Analytical ability a must.
- Experience with managing virtual teams.
- Prior experience in managing direct reports a plus.
- Sales and/or channel experience a plus.
- Cross-geo experience a plus

- Expert knowledge of industry, offering categories, company offerings/strategies, marketing principles/practices/tactics/tools.
- Knowledge of advertising/direct marketing agency practices and procedures.
