We are seeking a seasoned Workday Architect specializing in Compensation and Performance to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Workday solutions. This pivotal role involves designing and enabling scalable, high-impact solutions, leveraging Workday Extend for custom development, and collaborating closely with Workday developers, and business stakeholders to enhance compensation cycles, performance management, and talent-related processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of Workday Compensation & Performance solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Streamline and manage processes for merit increases, bonuses, stock plans, promotions, performance management, and goal-setting to ensure efficient execution.
- Collaborate on the development of custom applications using Workday Extend to enhance compensation and performance functionalities.
- Develop and maintain integrations using Workday tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday Integration Cloud to facilitate seamless data flow between systems.
- Provide expertise in Workday security configurations, business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and validations to maintain system integrity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to People, IT, and Finance teams, translating complex business needs into scalable Workday solutions and leading requirement-gathering sessions.
- Conduct impact assessments for Workday releases, ensuring proactive adoption of new features and functionalities.
- Partner with People Technology, People Analytics, and Finance teams to enhance reporting capabilities and analytics for compensation and performance trends.
- Define configuration standards, frameworks, and best practices for Workday Compensation & Performance modules, driving automation and efficiency through Workday Extend and advanced reporting tools.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to People Technology analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Experience:
Must have:
- 8+ years of experience with Workday, focusing on Advanced Compensation & Performance modules.
- Expertise in Workday security configurations, business processes, calculated fields, and condition rules.
- Strong background in executing merit increases, bonuses, stock plans, promotions, and goal-setting workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including EIB and Core Connectors, with knowledge of Workday Studio, API integrations, and Orchestrate for Integrations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business needs and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside People, IT, and Finance leaders.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and HRIS implementations in a financial setting.
Preferred
- Workday Pro certification in Advanced Compensation, Performance, or Workday Extend.
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics for advanced reporting and insights.
- Knowledge of Jira, Agile methodologies, and sprint planning.
- Experience designing and developing custom applications using Workday Extend.
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms like Dell Boomi for Workday data flow and automation.
- Experience working in the financial industry or supporting People/Finance teams in a regulated environment.
- Experience in leading organizational change initiatives driven by business transformation.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is $122,000-$152,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
