The Manager, Electronic Health Records is responsible for overseeing the design, development, optimization and support of their designated EHR application modules. Must have in-depth knowledge of the software application. The Manager, of Electronic Health Records, provides leadership and oversight to all areas of responsibility. The incumbent will be knowledgeable about organizational policies, procedures, and business operations, the areas of business they are representing, and the functionality available in the application(s). The Manager will direct the application team lead(s) in managing the day-to-day activities related to the applications. The incumbent will partner with operational
leaders in the organization to ensure the design of Epic and other functionalities to support the optimization of operational workflows. The Manager will oversee and drive decisions supporting changes to integrated workflows, and any significant changes to data collection processes and/or reports associated with vendor software. The Manager, Electronic Health Records is responsible for understanding the operational strategies and how they drive integration with vendor applications and design the implementation and optimization of the system.
The Manager of Electronic Health Records will ensure the alignment of all application activities with cultural and clinical transformation objectives. The incumbent will identify and manage resistance to change as related to their respective application(s) of responsibility. The Manager will assign appropriate leaders to oversee the Enterprise Design, Build, Validate (DBV) sessions as well as the Optimization of the applications and systems for all internal and external users of the system.
As Manager, Electronic Health Records you will lead the development of customer solutions through subject matter expertise and by directing the efforts of assigned staff in project and support roles.
You will be responsible for mentoring staff and growing the scope of relationships to provide the best EHR software implementation and support experience to your clinical and business stakeholders. As a seasoned subject matter expert, you will develop and train to best practices in your area of responsibility to manage ongoing change while delivering a high-quality product.

- Assists in providing scheduled and ad hoc coverage for system support including on-call responsibilities.
- Participates actively in department model of skill and resource sharing across teams including the responsibility to perform other duties as assigned.
- Assessing implementation strategies and the impact those strategies will have on workflows and operations.
- Coordinating with the Application Coordinator Leads and their team activities, including oversight for application specific issues, progress, build status, etc.
- Working closely with the executive leaders to understand the prioritization model in place with all customers and key stakeholders.
- Coordinating with local market leaders on organizational change.
- Partnering with clinical leaders at the corporate and local levels to achieve optimal levels of transformation.
- Achieving in-depth knowledge of the software and serve as a bridge between end users and vendor implementation staff.
- Directing the strategic communications with vendor’s leadership team, analyzing business operational impacts, and working with the vendor to resolve outstanding issues.
- Partnering with peers outside the organization to share and obtain process improvement knowledge associated with the use of the software.
- Approving significant changes requested for the system.
- Collecting information regarding emerging trends and challenges in the healthcare industry.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a clinical field, Doctorate in Pharmacy, or Pharmacy Technician Certificate and 7 years of related experience.
- 4+ years of People management experience
- 7 years working in a health care environment directly impacting patient care or related services.
- Deep domain expertise within Epic, either in application configuration, training, or content development. Experience in hospital information systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and standards in your area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and hold others accountable for producing sustained high-quality results.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to identify, hire, and train top candidates to build your team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with implementing clinical information systems and/or large-scale and complex standardization and implementation of an ERP is highly desirable.
- Epic certification in one or more of the applications being represented.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Epic installations.
