JOB DESCRIPTION
The Website Design & Communications Intern will assist our Human Resources Department and work in tandem with another intern and others on a team to develop a creative project with a time sensitive deadline during the summer starting at the end of May 2025 and ending around the beginning of July 2025. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a team-relevant project which makes an impact after you have left. During this 4 to 8 week paid, full-time internship, you will be assigned a manager who will inspire you, oversee your work, help you to identify project goals, and support your professional development. Interested candidates must provide examples of their work in website design programming and/or a link to their portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The ideal candidate demonstrates an ability to take direction, follow instructions and be open to constructive feedback with a professional and positive attitude. Thorough understanding of design principles, production and layout skills and demonstrated expertise using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as demonstrated experience in building and producing designs for both print and interactive media are a must. You possess excellent time-management skills, an ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and strong, refined typography skills including logo design and brand development.
In this internship you will work with multiple internal groups to create a well-designed online website with a focus on end user experience that incorporates communications and branding elements for a final creative project. Interns are expected to create design solutions based on initial conceptual and visual direction provided by leadership.
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Advanced skills in HTML or related website design programming
- Provide creative concept development, web design, and video creation/computer animation
- Possess a strong background in graphic design; Advanced knowledge in graphic design preferred
- Knowledge and respect of corporate branding principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Provide a dynamic portfolio of web design work that demonstrates a wide range of ability
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, teamwork, a positive attitude and a high work ethic
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
- Collaborate effectively with people at all levels of the firm throughout project
- Commitment to providing superior customer service
- Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including the entire suite of MS Office applications
