About the Team:

AlphaSense Marketing is a revenue and pipeline focused marketing team that encompasses demand generation, product marketing, corporate communications, PR / AR, brand, customer marketing, content marketing, and events. At our core, we’re here to support AlphaSense’s growth, which we do by contributing to pipeline and revenue; developing a brand that’s widely known to the markets we serve; and encouraging user engagement both within our product and with our brand.

About the Role: 

The Vice President of Communications will lead AlphaSense’s communication strategy to drive brand awareness, share of voice, and thought leadership at this critical stage of the company. This individual will oversee both internal and external communications and will work closely with the executive team to support the company’s growth objectives, manage crisis communications, and enhance the brand’s narrative across key stakeholders, including customers, investors, and the media. The VP of Communications will also be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing communications team.

What You'll Do:

  • Communications Strategy: Develop, execute, and lead a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with AlphaSense’s OKRs, brand story, and values.
  • PR/Media Relations: Oversee media relations strategy to increase AlphaSense’s visibility in key markets and sectors. Oversee agency partners.
  • Executive Communications: Advise and support the entire executive team, including the CEO, on external engagements, media interviews, speeches, written content, as well as internal communications, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
  • Internal Communications: Ensure clear, engaging, and consistent communication with employees across the organization, identifying the right cadence, channels, and messaging to motivate and engage employees.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the communications team, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to foster their growth and ensure alignment with overall communications strategy.
  • Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts, providing clear and decisive leadership to mitigate risk and protect AlphaSense’s reputation during sensitive situations.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of high-quality written content from the company and the executive team, including press releases, blogs, and social media posts.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of comms initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quickly adjusting strategies as needed.

Who You Are: 

  • Proven experience (12+ years) in leading corporate communications during periods of rapid company growth, transformation, or crisis in a senior leadership role, ideally in a technology or SaaS company.
  • Strong ability to distill complex business concepts into clear, compelling narratives and multi-channel communication strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to capture the voice of the leadership team.
  • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with C-suite executives to develop strategic communications that align with corporate goals.
  • Have a high EQ with the ability to communicate across a broad range of audiences and levels and to build and nurture cross-functional relationships—all with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and respect
  • Bonus: an advanced understanding of the financial services industry and current technology and AI landscape

Base Compensation Range*:  $281,000 - $311,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
