The Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Transformation & Delivery organization at LPL is seeking a Vice President – Business Management to lead up the primary support function for LPL’s Chief Risk Officer and Head of Business Operations. In this role, the VP will collaborate with the CRO and executive team members to drive strategic planning and cross-functional change efforts, lead employee engagement and talent management efforts and support key executive reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrated track record of influencing senior leadership and collaborating across stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as connection point across CRO’s leadership team and key external partnerships
  • Coordinate and drive execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Transformation & Delivery leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress against goals/OKRs
  • Drive employee interaction and engagement efforts, including employee communications and talent management actions
  • Manage Board of Directors reporting process and timeline management
  • Drive alignment across Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Transformation & Delivery by managing employee town halls and leadership meetings
  • Track and analyze team budget / expense management
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Transformation & Delivery leaders to drive key change efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ year of experience in financial services
  • A proven history of building and maintaining excellent relationships and partnering with executives at all levels to help drive change
  • Familiarity with current best practices and trends to enhance effectiveness
  • A background in Risk and Compliance functions and processes as well as program and project management acumen
  • Highly collaborative with experience in leading and influencing teams and individuals across lines of business, functional areas and different levels of an organization
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint, including pivot tables and smart sheets
  • Expert presentation skills, both in terms of creating clear messaging and professional presentation and delivery.
  • Strong intrapersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with strong judgement

Preferences:

  • Consulting and/or operations expertise preferred
  • MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years of previous experience in Chief of Staff or similar role


 

Pay Range:

$126,200.00 - $210,400.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
