Riding the wave of recognition and award-winning work, the Vice President has an incredible opportunity to have day-to-day contact with our client, manage communications across a cross-functional agency team, and support flawless execution in the most efficient and productive way that helps promote and protect the brand in Chicago and keep Golin on top.

You will partner with a team of account pros, earned media specialists, influencer marketing specialists, creatives, analysts, and strategists to drive award-winning, breakthrough campaigns. 

This role will be a trusted advisor to our client, across communications and marketing functions, providing strategic counsel and ensuring client satisfaction over programming across a global team.    

You have proven leadership and client service skills, and experience developing and managing integrated communications programs.  

Our ideal team member has experience as an integrated communications expert, with the ability to focus on the larger picture, drive thought leadership and enable effective decision-making, to achieve client and business goals. You have B2C client experience, working on large, integrated client accounts, in a client-facing role, presenting strategic marketing recommendations, addressing challenges and opportunities, and providing media-ready solutions.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Serve as a strategic leader for the account, overseeing its global expansion in the mental wellness space.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams: earned media, digital, influencer, social, issues preparedness and PR campaigns.
  • Build strong client relationships with key representatives.
  • Counsel clients on strategic and tactical matters.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated work.
  • Act as the first responder to workstream challenges.
  • Leverage global resources for international expansion.
  • Manage resource allocation and ensure operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to drive team results.
  • Handle budgeting, billing, projections, and staffing.

 

What You Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, or related field.
  • 10-12 years of PR or communications experience, with a focus on DTC and health/wellness.
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-workstream accounts.
  • Expertise in product launches, branding, influencer campaigns, and media integrations.
  • Strong client leadership and strategic partnership skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, timelines, and budgets.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing financials, budgets, and revenue goals.
  • Leadership experience mentoring and inspiring teams.
  • Global account management experience.
  • Based in Chicago or willing to relocate.
  • Passion for mental wellness and destigmatizing mental health.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $219,000 

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
