We’re hiring a VP, Terminal Technical Services. This position is a senior executive responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's technical operations, including managing technical support teams, ensuring system stability, developing technology strategies, and collaborating with other departments to identify and implement technological solutions that align terminal operations. There is a focus on maintenance, project management, blending and documentation.

“Gauges” of Responsibility

  • Responsible for proactively developing, constructing, managing and implementing new projects as well as developing new preventative terminal policies and programs and driving compliance and consistency across the network 
  • Support development of project scopes, estimates and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical engineering feasibility for projects  
  • Manage integrity program (including but not limited to API and NFPA standards), safety standards, product quality, measurements and all other programs 
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for project execution, maintain documentation, coordinate permitting with project manager, and ensure compliance 
  • Develop understanding of maintenance and facilities management procedures and oversee creation of preventative maintenance and technical plan for all assets 
  • Integrate a P&L mindset across tech services division 
  • Responsible for minimizing releases due to equipment failure 
  • Responsibility to develop approved vendor/supplier lists (dynamic, evergreen)

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in terminal operations with a focus on design, implementation, and maintenance of critical terminal infrastructure. 
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep technical expertise.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written/listening/presentation).
  • Adapts to change and ambiguity.
  • Understands business process and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem solving skills with ability to analyze and recommend solutions on problems of high complexity.
  • Appreciation for customer needs.
  • Leadership, team building and delegation skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills with vendors.

 

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
