GENERAL PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Sales Enablement to lead the development and execution of strategies that empower our sales teams to achieve outstanding performance. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth by combining sales training, enablement tools, and data-driven insights to optimize team effectiveness and efficiency.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that aligns with company goals.
  • Evaluate and enhance the tools, resources, and processes that drive sales productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure sales teams have the necessary resources to excel.
  • Oversee the design and execution of tailored sales training programs to improve skills in prospecting, closing, and account management.
  • Lead initiatives for onboarding new sales team members to accelerate ramp-up time.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted coaching and development.
  • Lead the sales analytics function to provide actionable insights into sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team effectiveness and business impact.
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making, forecast sales trends, and recommend strategies for revenue growth.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales enablement team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing recommendations to enhance overall sales performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing sales training programs.
  • Strong background in sales data analytics and familiarity with CRM systems and sales enablement platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in AV or Business to Business sales business.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, and other analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in sales enablement and data analytics.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred or combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, sales enablement or related roles, with at least 5 years in leadership capacity.

Special Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel extensively – a plus for being collocated with key customer HQ locations
  • Must be able to provide for a safe home office working environment (if necessary)
  • Must be available for long, varied work hours at times

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard
  • General office and field sales environment
  • Requires regular ground travel to customer facilities
  • Long-distance or air travel (including international) – not to exceed 50% travel
