About the Role:
We are looking for a VP of Product Marketing to lead product marketing strategy and execution. This role will impact customer and revenue growth by strengthening our leadership position in the market with differentiated go-to-market strategy, driving better engagement with prospects, customers and buyers and gathering market insights to inform product strategy and sales execution. This is a critical role for Motive as we scale up our Enterprise and Mid Market businesses, expand our product line and add new geographies to our business.The VP of Product Marketing will be a key part of Motive’s marketing leadership team, and be the critical connection between our go-to-market functions and product team.
What you’ll do:
- Establish the go-to-market vision, strategy and model for the Motive Integrated Operations Platform and communicate that vision and strategy across the organization
- Develop a deep understanding of the buying audiences Motive serves, directing product marketing managers to conduct research and gather insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decisions
- Create compelling product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with the buying audience, ensure that product marketing managers are providing source messaging documents for use across marketing functions
- Collaborate with sales leadership and sales enablement on the creation and evolution of all our sales playbooks and seller tools including pitch decks, demos and other customer facing content
- Work with the product marketing team to create and maintain marketing plans and goals, sales enablement plans, and launch plans for each productLead competitive intelligence efforts, developing the competitive positioning for the product portfolio by using competitive analysis, win/loss analysis and surveys and input from product marketing and product management
- Oversee the product launch strategy and launch planning, collaborate with product management and sales to ensure successful new product and new feature launch
- Serve as market-facing subject matter expert for the Motive and interface with industry analysts and influencers
- Establish strategies to drive upsell and cross-sell for the growing Motive product portfolio
- Manage the hiring, development and retention of a marketing leading product marketing team
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience directly managing product marketing, product management, and/or sales enablement teams
- Prior experience navigating a successful scaling journey in an organization that has multiple product lines and sell into a variety of different industries and customer segments
- Prior experience launching new products and new product lines
- Ability to simultaneously go deep into a product's technical capabilities and map that to the go-to-market positioning, marketing strategies, and sales strategies that are required for customer adoption
- Ability to oversee a team that can create world-class internal and external content that generates understanding, awareness, and demand
- Track record of building teams with world-class talent.

The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. For this role, the compensation range is:
United States
$220,000—$330,000 USD
