About the Role:

Motive is looking for a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to help raise brand awareness and amplify the Motive story to a wide range of external audiences. The primary focus of this role will be to help lead our day-to-day PR efforts. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of B2B communications experience with in-house experience preferred. This person will have a strong, established network of relationships across top-tier and trade press, exceptional writing and project management skills, and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Director of Corporate Communications and will work alongside other Corporate Communications functions including Analyst Relations, Internal Communications, Employer Brand, Customer Marketing, and Content Marketing.

What You'll Do:

  • Work as a key member of the global corporate PR team, partnering to support planning, reporting, and agency management
  • Develop and execute corporate and product communications strategies that raise Motive’s brand awareness, reach target audiences, and support key business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft compelling stories that help establish Motive as a thought leader among its target audiences
  • Partner with technical product leaders to distill their stories into press-ready narratives and messaging 
  • Support the development of global positions on key public policy issues as well as the strategy for reactive and proactive communication plans
  • Drive data-driven communications initiatives that assert Motive’s leadership around key topics
  • Engage with external partners and customers to connect them to our storytelling and identify new ways Motive can amplify the work they do with our products
  • Strategize communications plans with product, partner, and marketing counterparts
  • Evaluate and manage thought leadership speaking and award opportunities
  • Pitch and place stories to top-tier and trade press 
  • Build and nurture relationships with influential and relevant top-tier and trade media
  • Train and prepare spokespeople to speak with the press
  • Support with some internal communications, specifically around big company events and announcements, social media, and analyst relations as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Has 5-8+ years of experience at a PR experience, in-house experience preferred
  • Driven and resourceful
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Has strong media relationships with both tech, trade, and business press that deliver proven results
  • Skilled at positioning news and company perspectives to a media audience
  • Can grasp technical concepts and help articulate those concepts to a diverse audience
  • Can collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external customers and partners to build compelling stories that demonstrate the impact of Motive in the world
  • Has exceptional strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Can develop and execute communication strategies for a diverse set of programs
  • Demonstrates successful thought leadership program execution

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The base compensation range for this role is:

$108,000$165,000 USD
