U.S. AutoForcePOSITION SUMMARYWe’re seeking an experienced and visionary leader with strong experience in driving value through technology with digital solutions. Reporting directly to the Corporate CIO, this position is a key member of the IT Leadership team and is the top divisional IT leader for U.S. Venture’s U.S. AutoForce division.
U.S. AutoForce brings more than 70 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships as a leading independent tire distributor with 67 distribution centers serving customers in 47 states.
The Vice President of IT is responsible for driving the strategic vision for technology within the U.S. AutoForce division. This role involves building and leading a high-performing, cross-functional team that integrates technology and business expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and a proven track record of delivering value through digital solutions and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Influence and drive the strategic vision for IT within the division and technology team.
- Deliver value by effectively managing and optimizing the IT portfolio for the division.
- Oversee technology planning and budgeting to ensure an effective and cost-efficient technology organization.
- Collaborate with external resources and strategic partners to identify and assess emerging trends, focusing on both innovation and efficiency.
- Ensure that investments in enterprise-wide applications are maximized through effective governance and continuous improvement of solutions.
- Drive adherence to best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Acquire, develop, and retain high-caliber talent, creating development plans to continuously upskill team members.
- Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and engagement to advance U.S. Venture’s and divisional strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or another technology-related field. An MBA degree is preferred.
- Over 12 years of progressive experience in leading strategic initiatives that leverage technology to deliver business value.
- More than 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in building cross-functional organizational expertise and leading technology and business teams.
- A business-savvy leader who can translate business needs into IT deliverables.
- Experience in leading the evaluation and implementation of robust technology solutions.
- Preferred experience as a digital product and services owner.
- Experience working for a distributor of products is a plus.
- Strong financial acumen, a bias for action, and the ability to drive results.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels.
- Experience leading complex, major change initiatives; demonstrated skills in change management.
- Excellent communication skills with a high degree of verbal and written proficiency, both technical and operational.
- An outgoing, action-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The preferred location for this position is Appleton, WI; exceptions may be considered for location based on relevance of candidate experience.
