The Job:

As a Vice President of FP&A, you’ll be part of our Global Finance Tools and Outdoor (T&O) team, reporting to the CFO for Tools & Outdoor. You will be primarily responsible for partnering with the Tools & Outdoor Organization through a wide array of leadership, management, analytics, and reporting activities. You will be responsible for the planning and analysis required for detailed performance assessments, strategic planning, business planning, and accurate and timely forecasts.  Support strategic initiatives related to investments, cost optimization, innovation, and mergers and acquisitions across the company.  This role develops and sets the company's broad financial objectives and KPIs to drive accountability and performance.

You’ll get to:  

  • Partner with Business Leaders, the President, the CFO, and Corporate functions to drive strategy and business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning and analysis globally with teams supporting brand and engineering and complete P&L management.
  • Create and build consensus around the financial analytics roadmap to support key growth initiatives and provide value-added insights to the leadership team to support decision-making.
  • Analyze business performance across all key metrics and functions with the ability to identify issues, drive to the root cause(s), develop the appropriate corrective actions, and drive action into the business.
  • Partner with Operations to actively engage in inventory planning and cash management processes to optimize working capital and maximize cash flow.
  • Ensure that the highest controllership standards are maintained, including those related to account reconciliation, asset stewardship, and financial transaction integrity.
  • Develop and manage planning cycles and long-range plans and budgets.
  • Be part of a “world-class finance team” capable of growing the business profitably and actively driving value creation opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. Advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • 15-plus years of progressive accounting/finance experience and leadership roles. 
  • The successful candidate should have an FP&A background. 
  • Experience in the manufacturing or consumer products industry is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of results, including double-digit earnings growth, working capital reduction, SG&A control, and operational productivity.
  • Experience in presenting to senior-level executives in a results-oriented culture.
  • Strong influence skills and an ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to attract, recruit, and develop world-class financial talent.
  • Proven ability to develop a financial vision and road map.
  • Strong strategic planning and budgeting expertise.
  • Risk-taking personality. One who challenges conventional solutions to drive business growth and process improvements.
  • Results-driven with the ability to flex between short-term tactical and longer-term strategic needs.
  • Exposure to Six Sigma or similar process improvement tools.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $180,500- $379,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
