Summary:
Reporting to the UX Design Manager, the UX Designer creates designs based on insights and Product direction to support the UX team and the business efficiently. The UX Designer supports the execution of design strategies to improve user experience and overall product performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conducts UX design activities and contributes to the gathering and analysis of user insights
- Plans and conducts UX design studies to gather user insights that inform product decisions
- Works collaboratively with team members to conduct design work and analyze findings
- Works towards achieving design goals set by senior team members
- Delivers high-quality design solutions with a clear focus on user needs and UX design best practices
- Maintains an accurate and current understanding of active UX design projects while managing own design workload
- Collaborates with and supports fellow designers in their professional development
- Utilizes design processes, tools, and techniques aligned with industry best practices
- Supports user-centered design principles in all design activities
- Conducts design activities ethically and adheres to applicable regulations and standards
- Reports on design activities and findings to senior team members and stakeholders
- Supports the alignment of design activities with business objectives and product strategy
- Utilizes innovative design methodologies and practices in design activities
- Maintains accurate documentation of design activities and solutions
- Follows industry trends and contributes to the application of new technologies in design
- Supports stakeholder engagement by communicating design insights and their value
- Communicates design solutions to stakeholders under the guidance of senior team members
- Participates in team meetings and contributes to strategic discussions with design insights
- Engages in continuous learning and skill development opportunities provided by the team
- Participates in activities that promote continuous learning and improvement
- Utilizes allocated resources effectively in design projects
Preferred Qualifications & Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of experience in UX design
- Experience in conducting UX design activities and delivering user-centered solutions
- Knowledge of UX design principles and the ability to apply them effectively
- Experience in supporting design efforts that contribute to business outcomes
- Share design insights within the team and with stakeholders to increase understanding of user needs
- Ability to communicate design solutions that demonstrate value to stakeholders
- Ability to adapt design activities to changing circumstances and project requirements
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to support design initiatives
- Examples of design work and the resulting solutions, with the ability to articulate the design narrative
- Experience participating in training programs and continuous learning opportunities
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
- Effective communication skills for presenting design solutions
- Effective in planning and conducting design activities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting design data
Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000
CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
