The U.S. Marketing Director for Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is responsible for building and leading a marketing team focused on B2B segment and channel strategy. This includes overseeing the development and execution of regional marketing plans, driven by customer insights, and targeting key segments such as health clubs, hospitality, performance, and others. As the regional voice of the customer, you will contribute to global marketing strategies. A key aspect of the role is collaborating closely with Commercial (Sales) and Product Development teams to ensure alignment on goals, messaging, and execution. Additionally, you will partner with internal teams, including Brand/Product, Digital, and Content Marketing, to ensure successful implementation of integrated marketing programs.

LIFE FITNESS / HAMMER STRENGTH'S US MARKETING DIRECTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Strategic Planning & Collaboration: 

  • Develop and implement the global marketing strategy across the US market, tailoring it to regional customer needs and behaviors while staying true to the brand’s global vision and values.

  • Develop Program strategies to engage key accounts and improve customer retention and loyalty that encourage repeat purchases, upsells, cross-sells and adoption of new product introductions.

  • Conduct marketing and customer analysis, providing insights on market trends, opportunities, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to inform strategy. 

  • Partner with Market Research & Insights to drive competitive analysis and differentiate messaging. 

  • Gather customer and market intelligence through sales team interactions, trade shows, and customer visits. 

  • Align marketing initiatives with sales objectives to maximize revenue and drive lead generation. 

  • Collaborate with sales teams to execute programs that nurture leads and drive conversions. 

  • Adapt marketing strategies based on feedback from sales teams and market shifts. 

Event and Trade Show Leadership: 

  • Lead U.S.-based trade shows and industry events, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales objectives. 

  • Oversee event logistics, including booth design, vendor selection, budget, staffing, and execution. 

  • Drive pre, during, and post-event marketing efforts for lead generation and relationship-building. 

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and collaborate with sales teams on product demos and customer engagement. 

  • Evaluate event performance and optimize strategies based on ROI insights. 

  • Represent the company at key trade shows to oversee execution and engage stakeholders. 

Integrated Marketing Campaigns & Performance Optimization: 

  • Lead marketing automation campaigns with global teams to generate and nurture leads through personalized content and automated workflows. 

  • Partner with content, creative, and product teams to ensure high-quality, on-brand materials. 

  • Track and optimize campaign performance, measuring KPIs like lead gen, conversion rates, and ROI. 

  • Ensure marketing activities stay within budget and resources are allocated efficiently. 

  • Serve as a key contact for U.S. marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment across global and internal teams. 

  • Ensure campaigns align with brand positioning and effectively communicate product benefits. 

Leadership & Team Development: 

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing U.S. marketing team of up to 8 members, including regional marketing and events specialists. 

  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture, setting clear goals and providing mentorship to drive team performance. 

  • Guide team members through professional growth, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales objectives while optimizing productivity. 

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training, ensuring the team has the tools and resources needed for success. 

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field 

  • 8+ years of marketing experience 

  • Proven leadership with 4+ years managing teams of 3+ professionals 

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets 

  • Ability to integrate creativity, data, and strategy 

  • Strong influence and collaboration skills across all organizational levels 

  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) 

  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments and taking risks to drive innovation 

  • Experience working in a global, multi-time zone environment, managing multiple projects/deadlines 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and O365 environment 

  • Advanced experience with SFDC and Pardot 

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, including internationally 

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED: 

  • Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness market and products 

  • Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing 

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $120,000- $175,0000 annually. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength’s annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salaryThe amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan. This position is eligible to receive a mobile allowance to offset the costs of using a personal cell phone for business related purposes. 

 

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time team members, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match; medical, dental and vision insurance, parental, medical and military leaves of absence, paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid vacation days beginning at 13 days annually, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, company paid short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance, hospital indemnity; identity protection, legal services, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, employee discounts, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions.  Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies. 

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities.
