Job Description

The AmaliTech Training Programme is a comprehensive I.T./digital skills initiative that prepares participants for successful careers in the technology industry. Designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and workplace skills, the programme is tailored for recent graduates in Ghana who have completed their mandatory national service within the past two (2) years.

The training includes a foundational curriculum that introduces participants to core design principles, user experience fundamentals, and proficiency in essential design tools. The advanced phase enhances these skills by exploring interaction design, motion design, and advanced prototyping techniques. Participants will gain the expertise needed to craft sophisticated, user-centred, and engaging digital experiences.

Programme Details

  • Duration: 8 months (April 2025 – November 2025).
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break).
  • Delivery mode: On-site (Takoradi)
  • Structure: on the average:
    • Instructor-led sessions: 3 hours/day.
    • Self-paced learning: 3.5 hours/day.
    • Project work: 2 hours/day.
  • Certification: Participants receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the programme.

Post-Training Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the programme and the capstone project:

  • Successful Candidates will be directly employed by AmaliTech in a rewarding long term career opportunity in the IT landscape.
  • Candidates are also free to pursue opportunities with other organisations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Option 1: A tertiary degree or HND in any STEM field with at least one year of experience in UI/UX design.

OR

  • Option 2: Any other tertiary degree or diploma with at least two years

Skills and Experience:

  • Option 1:
    • A portfolio demonstrating user interface and user experience design skills. 
    • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

OR

  • Option 2:
    • A strong portfolio showcasing user interface and user experience design skills. 
    • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). 
    • Demonstrable understanding of UX principles and methodologies. 
    • Experience may include relevant online courses, boot camp certifications, or self-directed learning projects. 

Additional Information

Logistics

  • Location: Tarkoradi.
  • Stipend: Participants receive a generous monthly stipend to support their living expenses during the training.
  • Accommodation & Transport: No direct accommodation or transport support is provided.

Additional Requirements

  • Technology: Participants must have access to a laptop and required software. Details of specific requirements will be communicated prior to the start of training.
  • Assessment Process:
