The Training Specialist role supports and facilitates training programs across the M&S organization in Toronto. The role involves consulting and influencing mid-level managers to achieve business goals by developing and executing aligned learning plans. The role requires engaging with stakeholders to ensure learning solutions drive desired outcomes. Success depends on the ability to collaborate and coach leaders on training processes and policies, acting as a single point of contact across departments.

Main Responsibilities:

Relationship Management (20%): Build and maintain relationships with mid-level managers to understand business needs and performance gaps. Provide oversight, analysis, and appropriate learning solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders on performance outcomes and training feedback.

Training Plans and Compliance (40%): Implement and maintain on-the-job and individual training plans. Support compliance activities related to RCA, deviations, and CAPAs. Assist during regulatory inspections.

Training Development and Facilitation (20%): Develop, facilitate, and evaluate programs including corporate orientation, GxP training, and Train-the-Trainer courses.

Training Administration (10%): Manage the training tracking system, discuss feedback with stakeholders, and monitor the impact and cost-effectiveness of training solutions. Suggest improvements for training policies and programs.

Continuous Learning (5%): Stay updated on learning tools and techniques to provide informed advice, including cGMP requirements.

Collaboration (5%): Collaborate across the Sanofi network as an SME for the Toronto site, building relationships and sharing best practices.

DIMENSIONS/SCOPE

Breadth of responsibility (global/site): Direct: Toronto; indirect: collaborate globally with Training Community of Practice.

Site wide management of GxP training program and development of On-the-Job Training Plans and related ITPs

Site wide responsibility for tracking of quality training
-
Communication and implementation of global quality initiatives – Global training initiatives carried out at the site level (working with Senior Management on implementation strategies)

Ensure all training programs and materials meet with relevant Company Policy and Procedures

Statistical Dimensions:
This position serves as the main training point of contact for multiple functions and subject areas. Key responsibilities include:

Training Needs Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify training requirements and develop learning strategies.

Course Development: Collaborate with SMEs and the Training Content Development team to create courses.

Training Delivery: Deliver ILT (Instructor-Led Training) and vILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training) courses for Toronto site functions.

Support Functions: Assist with Root Cause Analysis, deviations, and CAPAs. Provide training coordination support for functions/buildings.

Curriculum Design: Partner with functions to design curricula and manage assignment lifecycles.

Core Training Programs: Serve as the main contact for core programs like New Hire and Train the Trainer, driving continuous improvement.

Logistics and Coordination: Handle course scheduling, logistics, and coordination.
-
Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with deviations, CAPAs, CC, and inspection readiness.
The individual must interact effectively both locally and globally, with autonomy in decision-making.
About You
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. A background in pharmaceuticals or life sciences is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Training Specialist or similar role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills, comprehension of adult learning principles, and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.
