A Hybrid working model
We have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations. What does a Traffic Manager do at Hogarth?
The primary function of a Traffic Manager at Hogarth is to manager traffic for all jobs briefed into the studio. This role is also responsible for managing clients, voice over artists and guests coming into the studios.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders:
This role reports to the Managing Director.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Production Lead and HR Manager
The Traffic Manager sits on the leadership team, covering two offices, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Traffic Manager is accountable for all of the Hogarth team members based across the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices.
Roles and Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Management
- Meet with Producers and HOD’s to understand status of all projects in the system and get details of work coming into the agency.
- Create a schedule of new jobs, assign tasks using the Chase system based on hours quoted.
- Review current and future timelines and job statuses with producers and HOD’s and if necessary, with individuals working on the jobs.
- Reschedule projects based on new or changing priorities.
- Report to management about the current workflow and communicate any possible issues with too much or too little work coming into the agency.
- Assign tasks to team members based on their skill sets and availability
Receiving of Clients/ Voice Artists and or Guests
- Have full knowledge of artists arriving for voice over bookings
- If clients are coming liaise with producers on numbers and if catering is required.
- Let editors. Audio ops know that clients are coming.
- Let housekeeping know that guests are arriving ahead of time.
Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact between departments.
- Facilitate daily status meetings to review project progress and address any issues
- Keep all stakeholders updated of project status and changes in timelines
Resource Allocation
- Allocate resources according to capacity
- Review monthly timesheets to keep abreast of capacity
Budget Management
- Monitor project budgets
- Identify potential cost saving opportunities without compromising quality
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years working experience as a Traffic Manager
- Relevant industry related tertiary qualification
- Experience working with/for a production facility
- Experience working with/for an advertising agency
- Knowledge of Chase
- Knowledge of the editing and post-production process for video
