Role summary:
Tooling Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the tools and equipment used in the manufacturing processes. This includes not only the design and development of new tools and equipment, but also the maintenance and repair of existing one. Also to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of the products being manufactured. They must have a deep understanding of the manufacturing process, materials, and equipment required to produce a product and must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with tools and equipment. They are also responsible for staying current with the latest technology and advancements in the field.
Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

Developing new tooling methods, building innovative tools and revamping tooling standards to reduce production costs.

Responsible for overall maintenance of production equipment and machinery.

Plan, organize, schedule and conduct inspections of facilities, work area and equipment.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance and lubrication to all equipment and machinery in the plant.

Assist in improving process efficiency through effective involvement in improvement program.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Oversee the manufacturing process and provide ongoing technical assistance.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet deadlines.

Communication & Working Relationships

Reports directly to the Production Manager.

Maintain constructive and proactive working relationships within others supervisor and other relevant department.

Skills & Experience:
-
Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a similar role.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

Experience with Punching mould and Tooling Fabrication.

Strong knowledge of ISO standards and compliance regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.

Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement.

Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
