BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for documenting and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality products. You'll also be responsible for analyzing business processes and identify areas for automation. Design, develop and maintenance of automation scripts, frameworks, and solutions using appropriate tools and technologies like, Java, Python, Rest Assured for API, Karate framework etc.
WHAT OUR TEST ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST
- Design and development of automation framework for Web, API and Database applications.
- Designs, develops and maintains automated test scripts.
- Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status, ensuring defects are well-written and have all required diagnostic information to drive resolution.
- Delivering quality process training and acting as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.
- Developing, modifying, enhancing and implementing test plans designed to support new or existing business initiatives.
- Performing quality audits and identify improvement opportunities (process / tools / duplication) and work with cross-functional teams to bring in testing efficiencie
- Scripting new and analyzing existing test scenarios to ensure accuracy, relevance and necessity
On a given day you'll be involved in test planning, writing manual, and automated test cases/scripts and test execution for projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience: System development and/or business experience with testing, coding and design: 3+ years
- Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Technical skills: Creating test cases; writing defects; automation scripting languages (Python, Javascrpt, Ruby, Java, Selenium, or similar); proficient in test automation framework and test tools (HPQC, TestRail); understanding of database schemas and querying tools; demonstrated in-depth understanding of software development life cycle
- Abilities: Communicate to key stakeholders; effective organizational skills to meet deadlines and deliverables and work well with shifting priorities; solve technical problems creatively; work with cross-functional teams
- Working Conditions: Office environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Playwright, Rest Assured for API, Karate Framework, API Automation, Octane, Jira, etc.
