Test Engineer

Job Description:

Job Purpose

The Nextracker Test Engineer is responsible for testing of components for Nextracker’s next generation foundation products.  The job encompasses a myriad of testing related activities, from test and fixture design, assembly, data collection and report creation. This job is perfect for a candidate happy to split their time between the shop and the desk.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design of experiments
• Design of test fixures
• Building of test apparati
• Break down of finalized tests
• Development of new instrumentation methods
• Instruction of other teams on how to test
• Collection and analysis of data
• Collection of form, fit and function information
• Collection and organization of test media
• Hand off of actionable feedback to the design team
• Creation of test plans and reports
• Work with certifiaction experts
• Be a teammate to a wide range of individuals in varied situations
  • Requires interacting with people in all areas of the company, including design engineers, field engineers, construction workers
• Lifting of objects of up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications:

• BSME preferred but not required
• 1+ years of experience
• Fluent in English
• Good people skills – communication and interpersonal
• Construction or mechanic experience desirable

Current Work Status

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (will not sponsor visas)

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 dependent on level of experience
