At Axis we are now looking for a Test Engineer for our Connected Services team at our HQ in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team?
Connected Service Test is a team of dedicated and engaged test engineers who value teamwork and each other. We’re a bunch of test engineers who work on our service platform and associated applications forming an agile cross-functional work team in the daily work. We strive for our teams to be able to take overall responsibility for the software they develop, test, deliver and monitor. At the same time, they have the support of the test engineers in the surrounding team to keep test strategies and our methodology together. 

What you’ll do here as a Test Engineer, Applications?
Axis is working to build new advanced cloud services, services and applications in order to offer our customers complete secure surveillance systems together with our cameras. As a test developer in the application part of this area, you have your focus on user-centered testing applied to the frontend (Web apps, Mobile apps) of the system.

You will work together with developers and test at an early stage of development. We perform development tests and system tests with deep technical knowledge, but also with a focus on usability, security and with a customer perspective.

We also share the responsibility for the operation of our production system and work in a Devops paradigm.

As a test developer you are part of a small team together with developers, where you together plan and deliver developed and tested features.

Your main tasks as a test developer will be:
• Test development, testing and automation work
• User-centered testing based on use cases.
• Development for monitoring and analysis of our production system
• Analysis of results from automatic system tests
• Participation in troubleshooting and error correction
• Development of scripts, automatic test cases and tool support for CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment)

Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We are looking for you who like to program and who are passionate about testing and quality. You have a Master of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Systems Science or equivalent. We believe that you have previously, for a few years, worked with programming and testing of software, preferably within an agile test and development methodology. You have great computer experience and have an understanding of how networks work.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:
• Programming interest and knowledge, both from the education, and preferably from own private projects
• Work experience in testing SW/applications/web services/APIs
• Knowledge in network administration and TCP/IP
