The Opportunity
We are looking for a Hands-On Testing Automation Architect who is passionate about test automation, quality assurance, and building scalable testing frameworks. This role demands a strong technical leader who has the vision and strategy to drive the test automation roadmap while still being hands-on in designing and implementing automation solutions.
As a Testing Automation Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and optimizing our test automation framework, ensuring high-quality releases, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall automation strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and engineering goals.
- Design, develop, and optimize test automation frameworks for UI, API, and LnP (Load and Performance) testing.
- Implement best-in-class test automation architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
- Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.
- Evaluate and introduce modern test automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers to define test strategies and improve software quality.
- Implement strategies for effective test data management and environment provisioning.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to engineers on automation best practices.
- Collaborate on performance, load, and security testing to ensure the robustness of our platform.
- Define key test quality metrics, track automation progress, and continuously improve testing processes.
What Makes You a Great Fit for Us?
- Have 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Have experience designing and implementing automation frameworks at scale.
- Possess strong expertise in test automation for web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.
- Have deep knowledge of testing technologies, including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman, RestAssured, Karate, JMeter, Gatling, k6, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, AWS, GCP, Azure, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Have the ability to design and implement long-term automation strategies aligned with business goals.
- Have strong analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and optimize automation frameworks.
- Possess leadership skills to drive test automation initiatives and foster a quality-first culture within the engineering team.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Are passionate about excellence, efficiency, and delivering high-quality software.
- Are comfortable managing and delivering work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with AI-driven test automation and self-healing test frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with contract testing (PACT or similar tools).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automated test environment provisioning.
- Exposure to machine learning for anomaly detection in testing.
- Certifications in ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer or equivalent.
- Experience in compliance-driven testing (SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
