Position Summary
Facilitates and manages trainings for dockworkers, drivers, and supervisors. Manages training, recruiting, and onboarding activities within a terminal.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manages company-mandated trainings for dockworkers and drivers.
- Ensures trainings are facilitated in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Leads management training for leadership and communication skills.
- Ensures all Department of Transportation terminal requirements are current.
- Manages recruiting and new hire onboarding processes, including hiring, interviewing, introductions, setting expectations, and processing paperwork.
- Provides additional training, communication, feedback, and counseling as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A commercial driver’s license.
- Safe motor vehicle report and hazmat endorsement.
- 5+ years of transportation experience.
- Communication, training, and coaching skills.
- Flexibility to train on night shifts and weekends as needed.
