As a Technology Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of resolving technology incidents, ensuring seamless operations for our global workforce. Your expertise will make a difference as you tackle complex challenges, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive efficiency.
Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Regional IT Operations team provides 24x7 support for approximately 5,000 employees worldwide. This role is responsible for restoring and resolving service for technical issues as quickly as possible with limited disruptions. Primarily responds to technology-related incidents escalated by the IT Service Desk, other IT groups, or by direct contact with technology users. Incidents may be resolved remotely, deskside, or via depot service for our global employee base. Additionally, provides and/or facilitates operational support for the Brown-Forman technology infrastructure, regionally. Infrastructure includes servers, voice, telecommunications, hardware, systems, and applications/software.
What You Can Expect:
● End-User Support:
○ Collaborate with the Service Desk and Global Desktop Teams to ensure timely resolution of end-user computing problems or requests.
○ Contribute to the on-call rotation for critical issues.
● Device Management:
○ Deploy, support, and troubleshoot mobile technology, including iOS and Android devices, cell phones, and mobile broadband devices.
○ Manage all PC-related equipment, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers.
● Application Support:
○ Handle PC-based applications, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, shrink-wrapped and cloud applications, development tools, and internal applications.
● Infrastructure Maintenance:
○ Image PCs, laptops, and other computer equipment.
○ Contribute to the ITSM Knowledge Base using designated processes.
○ Investigate, research, test, and implement new technologies guided by engineering teams.
● Performance Evaluation:
○ Review, comment on, and grade Service Desk Analysts' performance on a per-incident basis.
● Testing and Skill Development:
○ Participate in testing new applications, technology, security patches, and hotfixes.
○ Keep skills updated on supported technologies and corporate business applications.
● Asset Management:
○ Process, record (in Asset Management and Quickbooks), and distribute technology order fulfillment.
○ Perform weekly inventory reconciliation.
What You Bring to the Table:
● Qualifications and Experience:
○ Minimum 2 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related experience.
○ Experience in creating technical documentation, process maps, and knowledge transfer documents.
● Technical Skills:
○ Advanced computer skills with current, or ability to quickly build, proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other software, as needed.
○ Knowledge of network cabling, basic network troubleshooting, and installation of Cisco switches, routers, and access points.
○ Support and installation of video conferencing systems.
○ Apple Technology (iPhone, iPad, and MacOS) experience.
● Soft Skills:
○ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
○ Excellent people skills for handling difficult situations.
○ Effective time management and organizational abilities.
○ Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
○ Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
○ Strong attention to detail.
● Client Interaction:
○ Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
○ Interact with various client types, including technology, business, management, and executive management.
● Travel Requirement:
○ Up to 10% travel is required.
What Makes You Unique:
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
● Familiarity with Google, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Entra ID
● Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Experience (MobileIron, Intune, Jamf, etc..)
● Certifications: Could include, but are not limited to A+, Network+, ITIL, MCSE/MCSA, Cisco, Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT).
