JOB DESCRIPTION
The Atlanta office of Alston & Bird is looking for an experienced Technology Enterprise Administrator to join the Legal Technology and Discovery Services group. Under limited supervision and according to established policies and procedures, perform a variety of duties to support the Alston Discovery department and firm with the installation, deployment, operation, administration, upgrade, and maintenance of the firm’s two Relativity environments. This includes consulting with members of Alston Discovery, practice group attorneys, and clients to resolve issues related to Relativity, assisting in the evaluation and maintenance of our Relativity on-premises (Relativity Server) and cloud-based (Relativity One) environments, and maintaining positive contact with team members, members of IT, clients, and third parties while maintaining confidentiality of client matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assist the Technology Enterprise Manager in management of all Technology tools used by Alston Discovery. Primarily our on-premises Relativity Server environment and our cloud-based RelativityOne environment, Task Management software (Is-A-Task), and Concordance (end-of-life).

SQL DBA experience, Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or significant relevant experience

Familiarity with Relativity Server Infrastructure

Familiarity with Relativity SaaS: RelativityOne

Write and execute basic SQL queries to retrieve, update or validate data in the Relativity SQL databases.

Work with the Technical Enterprise Manager to provide technical support to Alston Discovery/ LTCS: i.e., Technology Project Managers, Project Analysts, Staff Attorney’s and Relativity users in troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution of Relativity issues.

Reviewing Relativity documentation prior to upgrades to prepare environment to limit issues.

Work to support Technology Enterprise Manager in annual Relativity Server environment upgrade.

Includes assisting with change management tasks and planning.
-
Review Relativity documentation prior to upgrades to prepare environment to limit issues.

Create and manage upgrade documentation.

Creating and managing annual system documentation, including assisting with

Ticket management for IT tickets assigned to LTCS.

Software audit documentation
-
Disaster Recovery/BIA planning documentation, etc.

Assisting Technical Enterprise Manager to optimize agent and processing configuration to maximize performance.

Monitoring infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reporting issues to the Technical Enterprise Manager.

Assisting Technical Enterprise Manager in keeping all software associated with Relativity up to date.

Assisting in the maintenance of the Relativity test environment.

Assisting Technical Enterprise Manager in troubleshooting and resolving Relativity end user issues.

Being an additional resource for Alston Discovery on Relativity functionality and infrastructure.

Work with firm’s IT department to assist with back-end maintenance of Relativity environment issues.

Work often requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position and will require irregular hours.
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a four-year bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems

Previous experience of 4 or more years of Litigation support experience in a law firm or e-discovery vendor, or commensurate IT support within a corporation
