ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation (RW-TI),  is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to work remotely, based in the U.S, with 60% travel requiredThis position has dual responsibility for specification sales while representing the RW-TI organization with codes, standards and regulations.  This position will report to the Senior Specification Sales Manager.

Your Future Team

  • Support ROCKWOOL Specification Sales Managers, Technical Services and the Industrial Segment Manager with training to ensure they are executing effective Engineering sales.
  • Work with RW-TI sales team members ensuring all efforts are well coordinated and that project information gets documented and transferred from the technical community to the team.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Actively influence projects amongst engineers and Specification Managers in order to get ROCKWOOL products specified directly by name or indirectly.
  • Analyze proposed codes, standards, and regulations to assess their impact on the company's operations and projects. Develop and advocate for positions that align with the company's technical and strategic goals
  • Participate in industry meetings to build relationships with key industry bodies, and technical organizations
  • Serve as the company’s representative in committees, workgroups, and industry panels related to selected key codes and standards organizations
  • Collaborate with companies and trade associations to align on shared advocacy goals. Monitor and report on lobbying efforts and outcomes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to regulatory and standards changes.
  • Identify and engage design firms that present the greatest potential in each major market.
  • Track progress and report significant events or milestones, using CRM tools/database and ensure transition to appropriate stages in the sales cycle.
  • Set project goals for the Region and agreed Industry segments.
  • Coordinate the development of services in connection with the application of our products such as calculation of passive fire protection, thermal losses, minimum insulation thicknesses, reduction of temperature and surface temperatures for the industrial area.
  • Deliver technical training to the RW-TI organization in the application of insulation materials for fire protection, thermal and sound, etc.

What You Bring

  • Engineering related degree, preferred (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical)
  • 3+ years lobbying experience within the Oil & Gas industry
  • 5-10 years of experience with a proven track record in engineering/technical sales of industrial insulation or related products in the Oil, Gas and Process industry
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills with expertise speaking to large groups
  • High level of communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Proven ability to build strong networks with customers, engineers, specifiers, and other decision makers
