Technical Product Managers combine deep technical knowledge and experience with product leadership capabilities to enable Riot Games to deliver critical products and supporting systems to players. You will develop and execute development strategies on Riot's products and technologies while leading diverse teams to deliver creative solutions to our most difficult technical challenges.
As a Technical Product Manager II on the Live Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting Riot’s Live Operations through ownership of tools and processes that directly impact our ability to return services to players during incidents. Your leadership will drive improvements in reducing player pain, minimizing service disruptions, and improving overall game uptime. Reporting to the RTS Product Lead, you will own and evolve critical tools and processes within the Return to Service (RTS) organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Return to Service and Incident Management Processes: Serve as the team and product lead for Riot’s Live Operations tools and processes, driving innovation and excellence to minimize game disruptions and player pain. You will take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring Riot is always prepared to deliver a seamless player experience even in the face of challenges.
- Champion Operational Excellence: Establish and continuously improve the systems and processes that enable fast, effective, and player-focused incident response. Your work will directly impact the reliability and availability of our games, reducing downtime and ensuring our players can enjoy uninterrupted gameplay.
- Drive Strategic Vision: Define and execute a compelling vision for how Riot handles live operations and incidents, aligning with Riot’s broader strategic goals and pushing the boundaries of what operational excellence looks like in the gaming industry.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical product management experience, with a focus on operational tools or systems.
- Proven ability to define product roadmaps and manage backlogs for complex technical ecosystems.
- Experience managing customer and partner relationships to drive alignment and deliver solutions that meet cross-functional needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, identify opportunities, and prioritize initiatives effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of operational tooling within gaming, entertainment, or other real-time services.
- Experience working with processes like incident triage, runbook management, or alert health maintenance.
- Familiarity with incident management processes or tools, such as alert correlation systems, monitoring platforms, or paging systems.
- Familiarity with the impact of operational tooling on player experience and service reliability.
