As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant at iManage, you will manage the technical pre-sale process, collaborate with global teams, and demonstrate software platforms to clients. You will respond to RFPs and lead technical deliverables, presenting technical components and engaging with clients to ensure validation of solutions.

Being a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer at iManage Means… 

You will join a vibrant and ambitious community of global presales specialists responsible for the technical and architectural elements of the iManage sales cycle.

This role provides access to many of the world’s leading professional service firms and corporates. Everyone is a contributor in this team effort and contributions are valued, rewarded, and appreciated.

You will also work closely with our global iManage teams such as Product Management, Engineering, Cloud Operations, Professional Services, Sales and Marketing, Information Security, Channel Management and Support teams 

Although based in the UK, the role will require occasional travel across Europe, The Middle East and Africa with occasional travel to the US.

iM Responsible For… 

  • Managing the technical customer pre-sale experience from lead inception, to successful sale. 
  • Responding to all key technical deliverables of the sales cycles i.e. RFPs, RFIs, Security Questionnaires, Demos, POCs, Integration solutioning. 
  • Engaging with technical equivalents (Architects, Network Admins, CIOs, CTOs, Programme Managers) in customers and prospects to ensure technical validation is assured. 
  • Demonstrating the value of core software platforms. 
  • Presentating of key technical components/architecture of software platforms. 
  • Presentating of core cloud concepts, security principles and architectures. 
  • Attending and demonstrating iManage solutions at field events, such as conferences and trade shows. 
  • Managing existing customer knowledge shares via a number of channels including face to face, webinar, blogging, mailshot, white-papers.
  • Contributing to product roadmap with new ideas and field feedback. 

iM Qualified Because I Have… 

  • Previous experience in presales or of managing software projects. 
  • A good technical understanding of Microsoft ecosystem (365, Azure etc.) and Open Source platforms. 
  • Familiarity with some of the following
  • Must – Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux) 
  • Must – Databases (MS SQL, NoSQL, MySQL etc) 
  • Should - 1 programming/scripting language – C, Python, Javascript, Java, .Net, Php, Powershell etc 
  • SaaS/PaaS implementation cycles. 
  • Excellent business communication, organisational and project management skillset. 
  • Excellent time management and decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent public presentation skills. 

Bonus Points If I Have... 

  • Working knowledge of iManage products including Document Management, Information Governance and Security, Automation/AI and Analytics. 
  • A knowledgeable understanding of any of the following sectors Legal, Accounting, Financial Services or Insurance. Needs to understand the business challenges/drivers, technology and market challenges of any of these verticals.
