Your impact
As a Technical Operator, you will play a vital role in a team of Production Operations and Logistics professionals to help manufacture, repair, distribute and control Intelsat Inflight internet Aerospace and Non-Aerospace components. Additionally, upon successful completion of these activities and training (classroom and on-the-job), the release of the aerospace components will be documented using an EASA Form 1. In these processes, you will analyze and utilize a variety of software and tools, including Linux, Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Office, and Power BI, to ensure smooth execution and accurate reporting.
What you will do
- Apply software updates such as Linux
- Operating technical (software) test machines
- Creating, managing, and analyzing Microsoft Office 365 programs and files, with a primary focus on Excel for data organization, analysis, and calculations, and PowerPoint for designing presentations, visualizing data, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders
- Working with and analyzing data in Microsoft Dynamics Navision, a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, to streamline business processes, manage transfer, purchase and sales records, track inventory, and generate reports. This involves interpreting data within the system, identifying trends, and ensuring sharing accurate, real-time information for decision-making and operational efficiency towards management
- Thinking along about and making proposals for adjustments, improvements, extensions, etc. on manufacturing and repair procedures and processes
- Cooperate with customer (internal), quality and other audits in the workshop, if applicable.
- Cooperate in the efficient daily operation and management of the entire Production facility.
- Planning, classifying, executing and monitoring (coordinating) the work to be carried out in the workshop.
- Execution of maintenance and production activities.
- First line maintenance on equipment driven by windows, Linux or other programs
- Checking the execution of the work on the methods and materials used, in accordance with quality and safety specifications and other guidelines in accordance with Part-21 subpart G and EASA Part-145 aviation legislation.
- Conducting receiving inspections of Intelsat Inflight components.
- Identifying, reporting and responding adequately to technical problems and bottlenecks.
- The punctual recording of the technical administration, regarding hours and the work carried out in the associated Software system (Navision) and/or programs.
- Maintaining a neat working environment around the complete workshop.
- If necessary, on call and respond for urgent repair/inspection, outside office hours.
- Other tasks that can reasonably be expected.
Your required experience/skills
- A completed technical MBO training level 4, (preferably Aviation, possession of an AML Part-66 B1 and/or B2 is a plus)
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar environment
