We're seeking a Front End Technical Lead II to join a team working on a high-impact mission within the Permissions team at HubSpot. The Permissions team is responsible for building HubSpot's next generation permissions framework. This team is addressing one of the top upmarket issues for HubSpot's customers. They face the competing challenges of allowing more granular permissions for upmarket customers while keeping it simple for smaller customers. Additionally, the team is rethinking how we build permissions at HubSpot to ensure every new feature launches with permissions out of the box.

You would join a talented set of teams comprising both frontend and backend teams and work with highly effective Product Management and User Experience teams. The team has direct customer impact as well as deep technical problems..

Responsibilities 

  • Grow their career in a dynamic, low bureaucracy environment.
  • Like the idea of working on a small, customer-driven development teams of 3-5 engineers.
  • Take ownership, work collaboratively, and figure things out
  • Solve complicated customer and technical problems while understanding the trade-offs involved, yet still acting decisively
  • Able to show pragmatic decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understand how we build and why for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Are a strong senior engineer with some experience leading small teams
  • Have a passion for writing code and reading code, up to 90% of their time
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Can foster an environment that encourages autonomy and psychological safety
  • Understand the value of building a diverse team, and are champions and upstanders for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives
  • Enjoy mentoring and coaching other team members in a psychologically safe way, while also being open to learning from them as well
