As a Technical Data Analyst, Product focused on Fee Data and Transparency at Engrain, you will play a key role in shaping how fee information is sourced, structured, and understood across our products and partnerships. You will dive deep into the details of fee data from property management systems, partner APIs, and proprietary models - helping both our internal teams and external partners make sense of where fee data comes from, how it's structured, and how it can (or cannot) be used to support fee transparency.
This role requires not only strong technical and analytical skills, but also a willingness to become a subject matter expert in fee data standards, industry regulations, and customer use cases. You will advocate for data accuracy and transparency, help customers and partners understand how their data is sourced and displayed, and stay informed on evolving state and local legislation related to fee disclosures.
What you'll do...
- Fee Data Analysis & Alignment: Analyze, map, and align fee data structures across systems including property management platforms, partner APIs, customer databases, and Engrain's proprietary data models.
- Data Stewardship & Customer Enablement: Act as a trusted resource to help customers and partners understand the source, flow, and usage of their fee data. Provide clarity on how fee data is captured, transformed, and displayed.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed on evolving state and local legislation related to fee disclosures and ensure that fee data structures support compliance.
- Partner & Customer Collaboration: Work directly with external data partners, PMS providers, and customers to troubleshoot data issues, clarify data requirements, and promote transparency in how fee data is shared and consumed.
- API & Integration Support: Ensure fee-related API endpoints are accurate, efficient, and easily consumable by partners and clients. Assist in integration efforts and ongoing data health monitoring.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a go-to technical resource for product managers, engineers, client success teams, and leadership when it comes to fee data and integrations.
- Data Quality & Automation: Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in fee data and propose solutions to improve accuracy, scalability, and automation.
- Data Evangelism & Communication: Advocate for the value and importance of accurate, compliant fee data - both internally and externally. Create clear documentation and communications to educate stakeholders on fee data best practices.
