Technical accounting and statutory compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CA with 5-7 years of professional experience in a global accounting firm or in an accounting team of an MNC company.
• Experience in Ind-AS transition.
• Hands on experience of ESOP accounting and disclosures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and interpret complex accounting issues.
• Experience in preparation of overseas subsidiaries financial statements and compliances.
• Working experience with NetSuite.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases, excellent proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a changing environment where continual process improvement is expected.
• Flexible to take late evening calls with the EMEA / US teams as and when necessary.
• Ability to keep track of all developments on statutory accounting / laws and proactively ensure compliance.
• An ideal candidate will have a Big 4 audit / accounting advisory experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the statutory accounting compliance for Icertis’ international subsidiaries including India including financial reporting and statutory filings.
• Identify differences between statutory ledgers and primary ledgers and maintain ongoing reconciliations for GAAP differences.
• Draft technical accounting memos for transactions where GAAP differences have been identified as well as any new non-standard transactions.
• Full ownership of all audits (statutory audits, group audit, internal audits) related to all Icertis subsidiaries (spread across Europe and Asia and expected to grow further).
• Co-ordinate with compliance partners to ensure timely statutory filings.
• Work closely with tax team to align on impacts of statutory accounting on tax compliances.
• Work with business teams to create and maintain statutory ledgers and work on other system improvement projects.
• Own GAAP transitions to IFRS / Ind-AS.
• Draft financial statements including notes and disclosures
• Keep track of new company law provisions and ensure timely compliance.
• Collaborate, project manage and spearhead the international expansion efforts in partnership with legal, tax and finance.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
