Job Summary
Lynk is looking for a Technical Account Manager - Africa who will support rolling out Lynk’s services to our MNO partners in Africa. This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with Lynk’s MNO partners on a daily basis and requires frequent travel to Lynk’s MNO partners’ offices in many countries in Africa as well as traveling to rural and remote areas of those countries to demonstrate Lynk’s technology to MNOs in the region.
Core Responsibilities
• Job Number 1 is intensive focus on constantly improving the experience of end-user customers.
• Serve as a voice of end-user customers and our MNO partners inside of Lynk.
• Own the implementation process with Lynk’s MNO partners in the region.
• Work closely with Business Development and technical teams to develop and maintain relationships with MNOs.
• Gather and document technical and business implementation requirements from Lynk’s MNO partners in the region.
• Partner with Lynk’s technical and product teams at Lynk HQ to implement the service.
• Manage test plans for Lynk service and troubleshoot as needed.
• Test and demonstrate the Lynk service in select countries as required.
• Monitor customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop test methods to constantly improve overall customer satisfaction.
• 50-75% travel is expected.
Qualifications:
• A BSc in an Engineering field, such as, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science.
• At least 3 years experience in customer facing roles is required.
• Technical experience in RF or roaming products is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of various messaging protocols such as SMS, USSD, RCS desired.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and convincingly with all areas of the company - technical and non-technical — as well as with external parties.
• Understanding of GSM, LTE and 5G RF and Core technologies is a strong plus.
