National Self Insurance is an arm of EML that caters to employer’s who are self-insured for their workers compensation requirements and have partnered with EML to administer their claims management function.
The role will involve leading and supervising the team’s day to day work activity and supporting them to deliver exceptional recovery outcomes and customer service. Additionally, the role will ensure that portfolios are effectively managed in accordance with legislative requirements with achieving outcomes in line with performance measures.
This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Brisbane office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week once fully trained.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the management of workers’ compensation claims;
- Pro-actively supervise, develop and support team members ensuring team and organisational objectives are met;
- Provide technical guidance in relation to the strategic management of workers’ compensation insurance claims to both internal and external stakeholders;
- Supervise the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a team of Senior Case Managers.
ABOUT YOU
- 5 years experience in the Personal Injury sector;
- Leadership skills, including team building, coaching, performance management and change management;
- Experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment is preferred ;
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Experience working with or managing remote teams across multiple locations.
