The Role

We are seeking a Team Leader – Urban Engineering, Urban Development (design engineer or project engineer), with proven experience of managing teams and delivering on urban/land development projects across the industry. This role will be based out of our Brisbane office.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 10+ years’ experience in civil design or project managementYou will provide support to lead and help manage team capability in the region and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and leadership guidance across the team's portfolio.
  • Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality.
  • Effective management and leadership of the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
  • Growth of the team through targeted client relationship management and business development activity.
  • Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team's components of the plan.

About You

  • Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ relevant urban/land development design and/or project management experience.
  • Experience in the co-ordination, design, and delivery of urban based projects within multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to train junior employees.
  • Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and prepare proposals for a range of projects.
  • A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
