Team Leader - Platform Capabilities

Verisure, operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Technical Platform Capabilities Team Lead. The role will part of a growing and talented Technology team and will report directly to the Manager of Technical Platform.

In Verisure, we’re constantly developing new technology to better protect our customers. Our highly skilled and experienced product teams work with urgency and passion when researching and developing new ways to keep our customers safe.

Strategic context and Value proposition

Technology plays an important role in our value creation. Our team is responsible for providing the Technical Platform that our developers use to build, deploy, release, and run their software.

This is a critical role that will help the Technology organization in the evolution of our current technology platform, fostering our developer’s autonomy, keeping scalability, security, quality, and reliability in mind.

As the Team Lead, you will be responsible of managing a talented team, in charge of Service and Event Layers, Archetypes provisioning and core integration APIs that our platform relies on.

Responsibilities will include:

· Ensure initiatives of your domain are executed properly and keep them on track, according to schedule and budget, maintaining right quality levels.

· Provide guidance to Product Owners and Tech Leads of your team to ensure domain delivers quality product and services according to technology trends and company requirements.

· Proper operation of services under your responsibility, ensuring SLAs are fulfilled.

· Keep a healthy team, hiring when necessary, and maintaining a good team environment.

· Coordinate with rest of Team Leads, to ensure dependencies are properly managed.

· Take responsibility in making strategic decisions that will help ensure the implementation of initiatives

Location

Working under a Hybrid Model, you’ll work from home and at our Madrid offices.

Required Qualifications:

· Master/ B.A in Computer Engineering or related.

· Fluent level of English.

· 10 years of probable experience on IT.

· Experience working with Restful APIs, Microservices, and Events & Services oriented architectures.

· API and Events Governance knowledge

· Budget Management experience

· Experience working under some Agile Framework

· Experience operating services under SRE approach

Will be a plus:

· Kafka, Rabbit and JMS

· API Manager technologies

· Kubernetes

· CI/CD
